The staff are led by Ali Kalnaran, the Manager of the resort. A young NiVanuatu, born in Malekula and educated in Santo. He obtained his hospitality certificate at the Port Vila Hotel School.
After a 2 year formation at Le Meridien Hotel in Port Vila, he returned to Santo and has worked at Aore Island Resort for the past six years.
Guests enjoy his huge smile, sense of humour and the stories of his home island of Malekula. Ali has travelled to Australia and New Zealand to further understand his clientele and to promote the resort.
Ali projects the happy NiVanuatu disposition with a warm personality. He has a simple philosophy: "I love my job meeting people from other countries and talking to them about Vanuatu. My day is busy looking after guests and I am learning all the time about being a manager. This is important as I will be able to pass it on to my young son when he grows up."
