Day 1
Welcome to Bauerfield International Airport. Gateway to the Vanuatu islands. Our team will be waiting for you with cooled scented face towels on your arrival, transporting you to the Kaiviti Motel.
Today you are free to enjoy your first day in Vanuatu, wonder the streets of Port Vila or just relax by the pool.
Day 2
We will pick you up at mid morning to transport you to the domestic airport and board your flight to adventure; Malekula here we come!
This 40 minute flight lands you at Norsup airport, where you are met by "Etienne" our local agent. Etienne doubles up as Tour Guide, driver, and is the enterprising owner of Nawori Seaview Bungalows, your new home on the ocean for the next 3 nights.
Today we start off with lunch at the Bungalow followed by a canoe sail to ex-cannibal Rano Island. Met by the shy villagers (they stopped eating people 60 odd years ago...) and shown the historic sights of this lovely island, that until recently, was not open to travellers.
Tonight you will be dining under the stars at Nawori Seaview Bungalows.
Day 3
Wake up to the morning waves only 10 metres from your coral bluff, after a morning swim and breakfast, you're off by invitation to see the Gortienser Small Nambas tribe, where dancing, tribal facial painting, and colourful costumes are the order of the day - lots of friendly smiles and inquiring eyes will follow your every move. After lunch at Nawori Seaview Bungalow, you can laze around or go for a swim.
Late afternoon is finished at the small beach beside Nawori Seaview Bungalows whilst dinner is being prepared.
Day 4
As yesterday was a full-on touring day, this morning is to sleep-in or laze around in the neighbouring villages, photographing and meeting parents and kids walking barefoot to the local school.
After lunch, you're off to see the Big Nambas tribe which is quite different to all other tribes in Vanuatu. They're highly sought red dyed mating and wear apparel is distinctive and much photographed.
Day 5
This morning Etienne's family will either bid you goodbye, or most likely accompany you to Norsup airport for the one hour journey.
Departing Malekula at 11:00am and landing in Port Vila around midday for lunch and the rest of the day at your leisure. Time to appreciate and enjoy the creature comforts of civilization!
Day 6
Today, the Coongoola Cruise bus will pick you up from Kaiviti Motel at 8:00am to take you on a 35 minute drive past Mele Cascades and Klems Hill Lookout, terminating at the beautiful and serene Havannah Harbour to board the 74' sailing ketch.
Day 7
Today we must say goodbye and take you to the airport. Pick up will be from the Kaiviti Motel.
We wish you ‘Bon Voyage' and hope that you will come back to our shores as we are pretty sure you will.

Disclaimer
Whilst all attempts are made by Vanuatu Hotels to ensure that bookings are communicated, well understood and confirmed in writing with local bungalows and transport operators, we cannot always guarantee that there may not be on occasions, some disruptions to your plans.
This may be due to inclement weather, delayed flights, damage to infrastructure ie., phone lines down, bridges, roads flooded etc., communication misunderstandings between other party operators (e.g., transport hired by bungalow for airport pick ups), cultural or religious events (that local people place a high priority to).
These and other unknowns can affect the most carefully planned itineraries.
When travelling to the outer islands, we advise to always leave a little "loose time" and patience in your planning.
Melanesia does not place a high priority on time and meeting deadlines. So don't set yourself up to be stressed by expecting everything to run like a Swiss clock, things rarely do, when travelling in the South Pacific.
