Traveller Comments:
"Pool area: lovely, large pool.
Food: yummy, reasonably priced.
Room: clean, comfy.
Bathrooms: the only part of the hotel NOT to have been renovated...very old...could do with work."
Ms. Jessica B. - Australia on 22/08/2010
"Booked into a budget room.
Bed and room were clean.
There was NOWHERE to hand our clothes NOT A HOOK__NOTHING.
NO FRIDGE!! IN the Pacific EVERY room HAS TO HAVE a FRIDGE.
Asked the manager about the missing items-- response was just a shrug. Also NO Washing or Ironing facilities as described BUT---
YOU could see where they HAD BEEN.
The evening cook -----CANT---...
Go somewhere for any meal besides breakfast---even Breakfast takes a long time and -more often than not --arrived cold.
The pool and surrounds were kept perfectly---better than the room.
This place backs onto Vila's slum housing--a Kava Bar- and is next to a ground used for local religious and rock concerts.
Just perfect for a relaxing holiday.
The time that we were there VILA had a continuing problem with rubbish collection.
RUBBISH EVERYWHERE.
I was on HAMO a year ago...It was BETTER and CHEAPER and MORE RELIABLE than Efate.
On the Positive side we met a good tour guide and the OWNER of another resort made us most welcome to use his facilities AT NO COST..
Really disappointing

"The staff at Coconut Palms were so lovely. They helped me find cool things to do, where to get good tour deals and the food is also fantastic for the price you are paying. i had better service there than at some of the fancy big resorts/hotels! definitely recommend it!"
Ms. Rekha de Z. - New Zealand on 16/08/2008
"A lovely little resort in a central location. Staff were second to none - I've stayed in very few places where the staff greet me by name, where the managers and assistant managers ask (and care!) about how things are going and go out of their way time and again to help and please."
Ms. DIANA N. - United Kingdom on 14/08/2008
"Very wellcoming, nothing any problem to staff infact they went out of their way to help out with assisting us with any problems we were most impressed - would recommend to anyone.
Room very clean and of a standard comparable to accom in nz "

"My partner and I chose this place because it had a nice big pool and we were not disappointed, the gardens were nice and the restaurant food was excellent. First night in superior orchid room was very disappointing, small old room with the worst view of a washing line and utilities area. Construction started at 7am and we had to yell to hear each over. The staff moved us into a lovely quiet deluxe appartment straight away for the rest of the week at no extra cost. Only downside to the appartment was no internet."

"We had a wonderful time staying at the Wild Pig Hotel, Port Vila and were most impressed by the comfort and luxury of the hotel, fantastic facilities of resturant, bar and gorgeous pool, delightful and most professional staff, and our room was lovely. We did enjoy the lovely hot showers and fresh white sheets and towels! In every way we were most impressed by this hotel and will return to stay there again in October. We think it is the best value hotel in Port Vila!
