The large handcrafted house is home to a life-long collection of books, artefacts and the owner’s enduring passion to be self sufficient. Most of us can only dream of this life. Epi Island Guesthouse offers the traveller a unique opportunity to live it.
The house is homely, comfortable and cool all year round. It is powered by a 24 hour ecological friendly hydro powered unit. Large permaculture gardens provide exquisite fruits and vegetables further nourished by the the free ranging poultry. Meals are gastronomic experiences comparable to the best restaurants, with guests from all over the world exchanging travel tales and humour well into the late hours.
Epi Guesthouse are the winners of the Vanuatu Hotels 2008 and 2009 "Green Award" at the Vanuatu Tourism Awards.
This specific award was introduced to the Vanuatu Tourism Awards by Vanuatu Hotels to further encourage the adoption of sustainable tourism practices by local tourism operators
Flights to Valesdir airstrip on Epi Island are on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday (NF270).
