Traveller Comments:
"Simple but if you wished to have a self contained unit close to the town centre, then this is a good option. Pool was nice and big"
Ms. Trish M. - New Zealand on 10/01/2010
"Although very clean, the rooms here are tired and fairly basic."
Mr. Steven De D. - Australia on 21/01/2009
"Good budget-level accommodation with a reasonable degree of comfort. The staff were lovely and helpful. Only criticism was the level of self-cooking appliances, which was minimal and not conducive to preparing a meal. "
Ms. Penelope M. - Australia on 09/11/2008
"Old and shabby rooms. Minimal kitchen utensils. Shower flooded bathroom when used. Ground floors rooms lack privacy (ask for a first floor room with balcony).

The redeeming feature was the good swimming pool, nice and deep."
Mr. Brent J. - New Zealand on 24/10/2008
"Excellent convenient location. Better maintenance of car parking area would greatly enhance first impressions of hotel."
Mr. LAU P. - Australia on 17/10/2008
"I stayed a week at the Kaiviti and loved the place. I asked to have a different room the day after I arrived and was given a better room where I stayed until my departure. The staff is extremely friendly and helpful; the supermarket is few meters away and the town just down the road. It was my first time in Vanuatu and I loved the country and will return to the Kaiviti."
Mrs. CHRISTINE C. - France on 05/10/2008
"Kaiviti had a good pool, and location handy to supermarket and main st in town. Unfortunately rooms are very tired. Our room had a broken lounge suite that you couldn't sit in and beds were very poor. Toilet in our room didn't work properly and septic tank system stunk out our room for 3 days before they emptied out their system. Another family member had a different room that wasn't quited as tired as ours but still had issues with their beds. Management advised they are about to start renovating. Give it 12 months and this might be a reasonable motel."
Mrs. Rosalee P. - Australia on 05/10/2008
"Kaiviti Village Motel we found to be in an excellent position., it has a lot of road noise, which we got used to, but very handy for transport in all directions The security was excellent, as was the management and staff.

Mr. John & Muriel H. - New Zealand on 19/07/2008
"We stayed in three different rooms during our time in Vanuatu, one double studio apartment and two two-bedroom, two-storey apartments. The rooms are a bit tired and in need of some TLC but the owners are currently refurbishing the entire place so in a year or so, I imagine, it should be much better. The motel's location is very convenient with a big supermarket only a few minutes walk away and the town centre about 5 to 10 minutes walk in the opposite direction. The two bedroom, two storey apartments are quite spacious. The cooking facilities are basic - in the studio apartment there is a three burner gas stove top; the two storey, two bedroom apartments have a gas oven and cooktop but the burners in the last room we stayed in didn't all work properly. Both rooms have a small refrigerator, the two storey apartments have a larger one than in the studio apartment. The Australian couple who own the motel were very accommodating. They organised a dial up internet connection for us at a reasonable daily rate and were always happy to help. You can also have a free introductory scuba lesson every Tuesday afternoon in the swimming pool if you are that way inclined. I would stay here again, but, at the moment, don't expect everything to be new and pristine; at least not until all the refurbishment is completed - it is a fairly old building and the rooms are showing their age. But then it is priced accordingly."
Mr. Bernard H. - Australia on 03/06/2008
"Exellent value for money, handy to town, great staff & ammenities well worth the money."
