Ernst Abderhalden

Ernst originates from Switzerland.  After visiting Vanuatu many times, Ernst fell in love with the local people and way of life, so far removed from his past busy life in Australia.

Ernst is best described as "A man for all trades", spending 3 years in the Merchant Navy, travelling extensively throughout the world, and working in varied professions. Ernst later became involved in the building trade and started to conceptualise his life's ambition: to create his private world of peace and tranquility, where his friends and yet to be friends, would enjoy the sublime pleasure of tropical simplicity, his Nirvana.

He then had to find where he would locate this special place? The day he came ashore in Vanuatu he knew he had found it. It was instant, he knew he belonged here. Ernst's obsession for the past few years has been building Nirvana alongside the local people of Paradise Cove. He has fulfilled his dream and now looks towards spending the best years of his life hosting with his NiVanuatu team, tired travellers that need a bit of fun and relaxation from their daily lives. 

A 'bon vivant' if there was ever one, Ernsts' eyes sparkle with excitement as he meets new people and engages in conversation on any subject whilst he may be preparing his specialty, traditional Swiss fondu dishes. Don't be surprised if Ernst sits down for a short chat, and you are still talking late into the night or early morning. Who cares? It's another balmy night on the beach at Nirvana.
