Vanuatu is a fisherman's mecca. The warm and deep currents attract different deep sea fish throughout the year from the delicious ‘Poulet' to the Dogtooth Tuna, Yellow Fin Tuna, Wahoo, Mahi Mahi, Sailfish and the majestic Blue, Black or Striped Marlin.
Regardless what you use, light or heavy tackle, you are guaranteed to have a major adrenalin rush catching any of the above. They will all give you a fight.
The boats are custom built for game fishing in all conditions and the equipment is state of the art, Shimano rods and reels with the latest lures and the boat owner's are real ‘hands on' pros which delight in your success.
Also different types of fishing is available such as bait and switch, deep sea jigging, popper fishing, and saltwater fly fishing. Depending on whether you rather stand up heavy tackle or fight from the game chairs; beginner or experienced, the skippers are there to offer expert tuition to ensure you catch and enjoy your day on the deep blue.
As a guide, June to November brings 15-20 knot winds with moderate sea conditions. You can expect to catch Mahi Mahi, Yellow Fin Tuna, the prolific Wahoo or giant Mackerel, or Blue Marlin and if you're luckier, the evasive Black and Striped Marlin,
Last October to November, 600 to 700lb Blue Marlins were caught, tagged and released.
From December to February, presents a more humid condition with dead flat waters. Catching mostly Blue Marlin, and Yellow Fin Tuna.
As a quick guide, you can expect to catch - Blue Marlin - May to November; Black Marlin - May to November; Striped Marlin - August to November; Wahoo - May to October; Yellow Fin tuna - November to June; Mahi Mahi - May to October.
Everything you may need has been thought of, so come empty handed and leave with a big fat smile - knowing you caught the big one!

Day 1
You are welcomed at Port Vila International Airport with flower leie and chilled scented face towels and driven in a small and personal, air conditioned bus to Chantilly's on the Bay.
Today you are free to relax and find your bearings in the small and friendly multicultural town of Port Vila dining under the stars in any of the waterside restaurants such as the renowned Tilly's Restaurant at Chantilly's on the Bay.
Day 2
Today, the Crusoe Fishing team adventure will pick you up from Chantilly's at 06:50 to take you to the boat where a light tropical breakfast will be provided.
Your six hour fishing adventure departs at 07:00 from the "Waterfront Bar & Grill Restaurant" on the superbly equipped "Reel Capture" boat over Port Vila Harbour's pristine waters. Keep your eyes out for the turtles on the way or dolphins that inhabit these waters.
Then it's time to bring out the 80 pound Shimano Tiagra reels and custom rods setting the scene to chase down the Marlin, Mahi Mahi or Wahoo. Don't forget to bring your cameras!
On your return, you are free to enjoy the camaraderie of the fishing fraternity at the Waterfront Bar & Grill over a few cold drinks. See the other boats come in with their catches and swap stories, it's all great fun. The Crusoe crew will return you to Chantilly's or you may want to stay with your newfound mates and make your own way home later.
Day 3
Now you know the drill, pickup at 06:50am and you're off to the hunt for your second round with Vanuatu's deep sea fighters. Refer to Day 2 for details.
Day 4
Today is your last day in Vanuatu, (or you could stay longer - see Fantastic Specials!). Depending on your international flight departure time, you may have time to squeeze another of Port Vila's many tours, have a swim, sail or some last minute shopping. Your transfer bus will pick you up from the resort to take you to the airport.
