2) Some of the recreations mentioned are not available
3) Internet charges are exorbitant compared to all other hotels and on top hardly working
4) Guest information for sightseeing/recreation (except for own tours organised and sold) is very limited"

I ordered the lobster for dinner the first night I was there, and it was unbelievable value! Breakfasts were excellent with a selection of tropical fruit which varied each day, homebaked bread, and a decent-sized pot of fresh coffee.
The tour to the volcano was excellent. Our guide, David, was happy to stop along the way so we could take photos, and gave a good commentary on points of interest. At the volcano he was very safety conscious, moving people back from one viewing point when the volcano got very active.
To top it off, we saw whales diving in the ocean, just while we were sitting in the restaurant."

The rooms are charming and have great views (bathroom could do with a coat of fresh paint).
The restaurant is overpriced as there are no real other options around. The food is nice however.
The night time volcano tour is definitely a must do!"

Bref, 7/10."

Everyone there was wonderful and the owners made us feel welcome and valued. The resort has some great snorkelling right out the fornt and will benefit greatly once permanent electicity is available (expected in 2010)
We happen to visit another nearby property wher the same tours (using the same guide and equipment) were 150% of the price at Evergreen - good on Evergreen for taking such a generous approach to guest service."

Accommodation is rustic, the bed mattress was bad with rats trying to break in during the night!
Food is very good and cheerful people."

The staff at Tanna Evergreen were fantastic - very welcoming, and extremely helpful. They were also great with the kids - very accommodating and eager to assist. Special mention to our driver, Jack, who took us on a tour to Mt Yasur volcano. He was fantastic!
The staff thoroughly cleaned our room every morning and maintained the whole resort very well. The food was also very good - something for everyone.
I'd recommend Tanna Evergreen to anyone who is considering visiting Tanna Island.

The food is OK, so is the service.
The black point is the cleanliness of the bungalow, our feet went black instantly, and the toilet cover was unclean. No service in room for the two days we have been staying. Another bad point : the efficiency of showers : no light in it on day (cause the generator is off), and we had to use candles, and it is cold or hot, no middle between cooking like a lobster or to get very fresh after it...
All in all, it's quite expensive for the standard this kind of accomodation claims.
We found much better than this, and less expensive in Santo."
