Location, location ... The Grand Hotel & Casino is the only 'high rise' hotel in the country.

The Grand had the location I was looking for in the centre of Port Vila. The staff were extremely helpful in booking activities and made me feel welcome. The premises itself is well tended to.

The Grand was a great, prob best, location accommodation for Port Vila! Beautiful view and right in centre of town. The staff were great - tried helping us as much as possible with our room arrangements and information. Thanks Rigoberto - great work.
But they were out of towels... We had 1 shower towel between the two of us for 2 days! And the lift on our floor was out of service for all of the 4 days we were there.
The pool was awesome for night swim and view. The staff were great at servicing us there with drinks and food. Really enjoyed the luxury. Well done.
The restaurant food was great. Breakfast continental was ok.

We enjoyed our stay at the Sebel. It was a good place to stay for the first couple of days in Vanuatu as it allowed us to become familiar with the area. The views of the Harbour were great and we particularly enjoyed watching the ships being offloaded at the port. The rest of our stay in Vanuatu was spent at a resort as well as 3 days on Tanna Island.

There was a paucity of drawer space, but there is not a real need to unpack much, especially if there were two of baggage tables that were in our room (401). I thought these were very good. You could leave the case out, mostly unpacked, but there were two drawers underneath that you could put some things away. Further under that there was a rack for shoes. Meant that you did not need to do much unpacking, but that which you did was very close and convenient. At least it was for my wife, but as there was only one of these tables, I had bits and pieces all over the place. suggest you make two of these tables standard for each room.
