As one of the most economical resorts in our list of Vanuatu resorts that you can find in Port Vila, this one specializes in water related activities, and it is only a 15 minute drive from the city centre. The tiny island is surrounded by crystal clear blue water where free scuba diving and snorkeling equipment is available to explore the coral. The accommodation varies between private and secluded Oceanside bungalows overlooking the coral reef, to private rooms in the resort with shared facilities, or even more economical dormitory facilities.

Tanna Evergreen Resort & Tours

Tanna Evergreen Resort & Tours as it’s name suggest, is found on the volcanic island of Tanna, a 45 minute flight from Port Vila, and our southern Vanuatu selection for inclusion of our top five Vanuatu resorts. It’s  location on the airport side of the island guaranteeing that you cannot miss your flight from road closures and transport failure. This indigenous owned and managed resort is for those who seek a peaceful, yet memorable tropical island experience.

The facilities are basic, in comparison to traditional mainland resorts, but travelers would not have it any other way.  Meals are made from fresh locally organically grown crops. Numerous daily tours and activities are available from the reception providing ample opportunities to meet and interact with the different traditional tribes, experiencing varied cultures and customs, as well as the main attraction: the awesome Yasur volcano that sits one and half hours away from the resort.

Beachfront Resort

The third resort on our Vanuatu resorts series is the Beachfront Resort situated on Espiritu Santo Island. The city Luganville’s only true beach side resort located a short one and half kms from the town, an enjoyable 10 minutes drive from the international airport. Only a few minutes out of town and miles from nowhere to enjoy the resort’s tranquil surroundings and it’s diving culture.

Beachfront Resort offers excellent value for money quality accommodation over-looking the sheltered waters of Segond Channel and Aore Island. The new fully licensed restaurant overlooks gardens, lawns and the ocean providing a varied menu specializing in pizzas with a good selection of beverages. All bungalows are modern in design with ensuites, self-contained and offer a choice of air conditioned or fan cooling, refrigerator, a kitchenette, insect screens plus toaster and tea/coffee making facilities. Budget conscious travellers are well catered for with the “Lodge” offering swish backpacker facilities.


Erakor Island Resort & Spa

This romantic resort resides on its own sixteen acre private island, surrounded on one side by the beautiful tranquil Erakor seawater lagoon, and the other, the pacific ocean. Expansive views prevail on all sides wherever your private Bungalow is located. Paradise Cove Resort
